A new wine experience in Berlin: exploring Romanian wines!
Romanian wines are not that well known despite Romania being the 6th largest producer in Europe. We would like to introduce you to the fascinating grape universe we grew up in, home of 14 local grape varieties and attracting wine makers from all around Europe. Did we make you curious enough?
What is included in the price:
- 2.5 hours wine tasting experience guided by WSET 3 certified wine-expert Ramona Enache-Lorenz
- 6 wines made from Romanian local grape varieties
- Romanian cheese pairing + fruit + olives + crackers

- When? We will be welcoming you shortly before 19:30 and will try to start on time.

Public tasting: If you, unfortunately, cannot make it, tickets are fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event, or we can reschedule you to one of our future sessions up until 24 hours before the event. Please reach out to us
Private tasting: Once booked, this type of event cannot be canceled, but we can definitely reschedule it at your convenience. Please contact us to discuss options.

All our public wine-tasting events are priced at 69 EUR per person and there is a special discount for groups of 4. The pricing for private wine-tasting events varies depending on the number of participants and location. Please have a look at our private wine tasting offer for more details.

We currently host wine tastings in Berlin Prenzlauer-Berg at the Makery, but also in Charlottenburg. We will keep you updated on the exact location once you book. It's not easy to find in Berlin a wine-tasting event with different wines or thematic tastings, a cosy location with no more than 20-25 participants and a warm atmosphere created by the lovely hosts. I will definitely join future events.
I can only recommend this as an introduction to a much neglected corner of the world of wines. Ramona led us, a small group of under 20 people, expertly through the evening, giving us time to sample, enjoy and think about the well chosen wines which she paired equally well with a generous assortment of cheeses. Definitely nothing run of the mill here. All questions answered, indeed, anticipated in a relaxed and very professional manner. Ramona‘s interest in sharing her knowledge comes from the heart and is inspiring ! An extremely pleasant evening with the other participants and very profitable in terms of learning about new wines / unfamiliar grape varieties
Ich kann diese Verkostung nur wärmstens empfehlen: eine bessere Einführung in die sonst vernachlässigte Welt der Weine Rumäniens ist kaum zu bekommen. Ramona führte die Gruppe (unter 20 Wißbegierige) auf professionellste und angenehmste Art: alle Fragen wurden fachgerecht beantwortet, die meisten sogar antizipiert und sie hatte sich klar mit der Auswahl der Weine intensiv auseinandergesetzt. Diese wurden mit einer umfangreichen Auswahl an Käsesorten gepaart und wir Teilnehmer hatten bei jedem der 6 Weine reichlich Zeit zu kosten, den Wein zu genießen und uns Gedanken darüber zu machen. Ein äußerst angenehmer Abend, definitiv nichts 08-15; man merkt Ramonas Leidenschaft für das Thema und ihren Enthusiasmus beim Teilen ihres Wissens. Schwer zu toppen: nette Leute drum herum und man lernt schon Einiges über unbekannte Weine und Rebsorten

We learned a lot about the different wines and the tradition of making wine in Romania, while still having a great social atmosphere and talks. Ramona has put together a perfect evening in every way. Incredible wines, fantastic cheese, lovely people and super insightful facts on Romanian wine growing. We always had a thing for wines off the beaten track and once again we got surprised. We also enjoyed the social element of it meeting other Berlin wine lovers.
