Drum bun means bon voyage, Gute Fahrt, and can be seen on every sign as you travel from village to village. Should you be seeing these sings, ideally you’re driving a Dacia 1300. This glorious automobile is the standard-bearer of the Romanian fleet and is as famous as the ubiquitous Fetească Regală grape.
The wine contains lees. Decant the wine or shake bottle before opening (recommended). Serving temperature: 7-9°C
About the grape variety
The most planted Fetească, responsible for fresh, aromatic whites in Romania. Fetească Regală, literally ‘royal young girl’, was first observed in the 1920s in the village of Daneș near Sighișoara, Transilvania, Romania, hence its synonym Dănășană. It was initially cultivated by a nurseryman called Gașpari from the town of Mediaș, who distributed it under the German name Dunesdörfer Königsast (Dejeu 2004), literally ‘king’s branch from Dunes village’. The wine obtained from this variety was then presented by Gașpari at the National Wine and Fruit Exhibition in Bucharest in 1928 under the name Fetească Regală, which was then adopted.
About the winery
Edgard studied oenology at Geisenheim because of his Romanian family vineyard. Musician turned wine maker, he founded Weingut Edgar Brutler in 2018 with a focus on organic farming, native grapes, old vine field blends, and making wines based on smelling, tasting, and feeling rather than numbers and analytics. Farming is without herbicides, chemical-synthetic sprays and mineral fertilizers. His Gruenspitz vineyard is one of the only 2 plantings of this grape variety in Europe.

How to recycle
How to recycle
Up to 90% of new glass can be made from recycled glass. If you’re getting ready for a night out on the town, drink consciously and remember to keep your empties and then bring to the bottle bank. If you’re hoping to leave future generations with a healthy-ish and useful environment, then recycling wine bottles is the way forward and it doesn’t take much effort.
